I led the development of Carson Dellosa's groundbreaking educational app, marking our entry into the digital realm. Collaborating closely with our partner, Geekbears, based in Mexico City, we meticulously identified the users' needs and app objectives. Our Summer Bridge App draws inspiration from the immensely popular Summer Bridge Workbooks, renowned for providing over 60 days of engaging, standards-based activities. Our initial release focuses on three grade levels, each offering a comprehensive 30-day program.
The app encompasses a rich variety of math, reading, and language arts activities, complemented by invigorating fitness challenges. By providing a delightful blend of fun and educational content, we ensure that children maintain mental and physical engagement throughout the summer, leaving them feeling well-prepared and confident as they progress to the next grade level.
As part of my responsibilities, I spearheaded the creation of captivating animations for the app's activities, splash page, and the lovable main character, "Sunny." Sunny serves as a friendly guide within the app, offering assistance and support in specific areas. Additionally, I actively contributed to the design of impactful marketing images, ensuring our app is visually appealing and effectively communicates its value to potential users.
